Global life sciences firm MilliporeSigma plans to expand its operations in Sheboygan Falls with a new, 80,000-square-foot facility.

The company, which makes a wide variety of chemicals at its existing plant there, will spend $64 million on the expansion, a spokeswoman said Thursday.

It wasn’t immediately known how many jobs the expansion will create. MilliporeSigma will formally announce the project on Tuesday.
