Dollhouse Dance Factory announces business expansion
Sheboygan – Already recognized as one of the premiere fine arts dance studios in the state if not the Midwest, Dollhouse Dance Factory has signed an agreement to expand the dance school and relocate to a larger facility on Sheboygan’s south side. Construction will begin in the next few weeks at the new location, 3321 South Business Drive, in Southtown Mall.
Dollhouse Dance Factory (DDF) was founded in 2013 by Kayla Pittner and has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past two years. DDF’s competition season follows that of the average school year, and begins in September. Dance students have the opportunity to compete in events across the region. Just a few weeks ago over one thousand supporters attended a fundraising recital in the North High School Fieldhouse.
“It is extremely gratifying to see the support that we receive from the parents of DDF’s students,” stated Ms. Pittner. “Our dancers have shown tremendous development in their craft and the investment we are now making will allow us to continue providing the best training possible in the area.”
In addition to Pittner’s financial investment in the expansion, DDF has been approved for a business development loan through the City of Sheboygan’s revolving loan fund. The development project will include the hiring of several new staff members to increase the one-to-one connection with the dance athletes.
Ms. Pittner acknowledged appreciation for the ability to grow her business using the loan fund, as well as the entrepreneurial support she received from the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) and Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC). “Sheboygan County certainly has the resources to help small business owners grow,” she noted.
