Goodside move impacted by successful fundraiser
Goodside Grocery in Sheboygan celebrated the grand opening of its new space this month — partially thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign.
The volunteer-run grocery cooperative, which opened in May of 2011, offers local and responsibly sourced foods including meat, produce, dairy, grains and dry goods.
Formerly located in a space behind Paradigm Coffee, the grocery cooperative moved across the street to a bigger, more visible space.
Goodside Grocery turned to its members and the community to raise $30,000 via the crowdfunding site www.indiegogo.com. The online portion of the campaign raised $15,000 for the co-op.
