Grant monies support cheese-themed project

PLYMOUTH

The self-proclaimed "Cheese Capital of the World" is poised to undertake another venture to embellish that claim.

Instead of producing or packaging cheese, this project is geared to creating a cheese-themed retail store and heritage center by renovating one of the oldest downtown buildings in this Sheboygan County city.

Plymouth's mayor Don Pohlman indicates that the building at 133 E. Mill Street dates to 1875. After being vacant for several years, the two-story building was purchased by the city's redevelopment authority for a purpose such as the cheese-themed renovation project.
