Sheboygan County Eyes Buying Pristine Lakefront for $4.2 Million

Sheboygan County is in talks to save more than 330 acres of pristine lakeside forest, dunes and wetlands in the Town of Holland.

The Amsterdam Dunes area is one of the last major expanses of undeveloped and unprotected wilderness on the western shore of Lake Michigan. It has been the site of plenty of development ideas in the past, but the county wants to acquire it in order to leave it alone.
