Survey: Sheboygan homes some of Wisconsin's most affordable

MILWAUKEE — A new survey shows the most affordable homes in Wisconsin are in Ashland and the most expensive houses are in the Milwaukee suburb of Whitefish Bay.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC said it used an “apples-to-apples” comparison of the average listing price of a four-bedroom, two-bath home in more than 1,900 markets across the country to determine affordability. The report found the average listing price of a four-bedroom, two-bath home was $301,414.
In Wisconsin, the average price for a home that size was $464,017 in Whitefish Bay and $104,774 in Ashland.
Sheboygan was the state’s ninth most affordable city with an average price of $153,245.
