Bremer Manufacturing expands operation

A rural Elkhart Lake aluminum foundry is expanding and expects to create up to 20 new jobs in the coming years as it wins business back from customers who had been going overseas for the same products.

Wisconsin Jumps in CNBC “Top States for Business” Ranking

Wisconsin's improved business climate was again recognized today when CNBC released its ranking of the "Top States for Business." Wisconsin climbed eight spots to come in at #17. This is the highest Wisconsin has ranked since CNBC began conducting the study in 2007.

Lakeshore Industry Cluster Initiative Kicks-Off August 28

Manitowoc, WI:  There is an exciting collaborative effort underway to kick off a Lakeshore Industry Cluster Initiative for the region.  The Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County is leading this effort jointly with economic development organizations in Manitowoc, Door, Calumet, Kewaunee, and Sheboygan Counties. They have scheduled to launch the process with a half-day kick-off event on the morning of Tuesday, August 28 at Fox Hills Resort (Mishicot). The Cluster Initiative engages businesses in Industry Cluster Networks to analyze and leverage assets and opportunities for additional business growth and development.   The targeted industries that will be the initial focus of the Lakeshore Industry Cluster Initiative will be Manufacturing, Food Processing/Agriculture, Energy and Tourism.
