Three Guys and a Grill Restaurant and Catering Remain Open
Community Support Overwhelming and Gracious
Elkhart Lake, Wis – On the morning of Thursday, June 7th the banquet facility of Three Guys and a Grill (Three Guys) East was destroyed in a 17-alarm fire. This location supported only one of the three business segments; restaurant, banquet, and catering. A faulty outlet was the likely cause of the blaze. No one was injured.
The Three Guys Marsh Lodge restaurant located at W7039 County SR., Elkhart Lake, in the Sheboygan Marsh and the full line catering services remain open and operating. The Marsh Lodge has extended its operations to seven days a week.
The fire came just after Three Guys remodeled the banquet facility. The remodeled venue held only four events prior to the fire and was quickly booked for the 2019 calendar year. “Shortly after the fire area, banquet halls called to offer us support with our customers,” stated Scott McMurray, Owner; “We have been able to relocate all 2019 special events and banquets to nearby venues.”
The company hopes to rebuild the N8350 Co. Rd. J event venue. In the meantime, anyone who was looking to book an event at Three Guys is still encouraged to call as the firm will connect customers with nearby event spaces that support Three Guy’s catering.
“The outpouring of support has been overwhelming and appreciated,” stated McMurray. Offers of help McMurray received included employees offering to work without compensation and neighbors volunteered to clean up fire debris. One local volunteer firefighter, an IT professional, took Three Guys’ damaged computer and put the hard drive into a new computer free of charge; saving company records.
“I don’t know if this support is because we are in rural Wisconsin,” explained McMurray, “but, the generosity of the area invigorated our commitment to this community, employees, and customers. The fire is not an ending for Three Guys and a Grill, but a chance at a new beginning. I would like to thank a lot of people who I know view as everyday heroes.”
