SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay aim to provide a wide variety of services, resources, and expertise to help encourage entrepreneurial opportunities in Sheboygan County, including businesses that offer unique products to the community.

With the help of the SCEDC and SBDC, Adrian Hackl opened The Bugle, Sheboygan’s only dedicated comic book store located at 1148 Union Ave. The Bugle offers a unique collection of new and vintage comics as well as prized collectibles.

With a mission to provide an engaging and knowledgeable outlet for comic-related media and a lack of quality comics in Sheboygan, Hackl is excited to bring his passion for comics to Sheboygan County and welcome new and seasoned fans alike.

“The Bugle is the first designated comic store in Sheboygan for almost two decades, and our hope is to create a long-lasting culture interested in the medium by offering current and vintage issues and collectibles,” Hackl said.

In the future, The Bugle plans to play an active role in the community by showcasing local artists and writers. The SCEDC was grateful for the chance to assist The Bugle in establishing a presence in the community.

“The SCEDC was imperative in providing my bank proper documentation and financial forecasting,” Hackl said. “I can’t thank the SCEDC enough for that assistance.”
