2021 Annual Meeting
Thank you for joining the SCEDC staff, board, and investors for an evening filled with reconnecting, celebrating, and honoring our 2020 Economic Driver of the Year and the 2021 Economic Driver of the Year award recipients. We're proud to have such incredible manufacturing companies and partners driving our community's economy!
The 2020 Economic Driver of the Year is Curt G. Joa. With their unique blend of tradition and innovation, they took their disposable hygiene machinery and reimagined it when needed most. Using materials they already worked with daily, non-woven materials, they were able to make the necessary adjustments to meet the needs of their customers and the community's needs to produce over 1.5 billion facemasks during the pandemic. This innovative thinking has earned them the 2020 Economic Driver of the Year award. Richard Michaletz was present to accept the award on behalf of Curt G. Joa; Michaletz serves as the President.

Rockline Industries' philosophy has been formed around the idea that Someplace Better is created when prioritizing people and working together. This way of thinking has earned them the 2021 Economic Driver of the Year award recipient. Their drive to put people first and work with them on personal development is a benefit that goes far beyond Rockline. Rockline truly believes without people; business is just a collection of assets, so taking a people-centered approach must be at the forefront of all business. Nick Santoleri was present to accept the award on behalf of Rockline. Santoleri is the Chief Operating Officer and has been with Rockline since 1999.
