Going Green

The following incentives and programs are available to help be green and save money:

Sheboygan County Recycling Network
The Sheboygan County Recycling Network, consisting of local companies, meets on a monthly basis to share best practices on how to reduce and/or re-purpose materials that are by-products of their operations.  The overall goal is to share what is working for each company, gather new ideas and network.  Team members have very diverse positions within their company and the network is open to all Sheboygan County businesses who are working to implement, sustain and reduce their environmental footprint.  If you would like to know more, please contact Linda Verfuerth from Bemis Manufacturing at (920) 457-5534 or Sean Hurley from Rockline Industries (920) 452-3004.

Focus on Energy
Focus on Energy works with eligible Wisconsin businesses to install cost effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Focus information, resources and financial incentives help to implement projects that otherwise would not be completed, or to complete projects sooner than scheduled.

Green Tier
Green Tier is based on a collaborative system of contracts and charters crafted jointly by participating businesses and the DNR. Businesses who agree to exceed state environmental regulations receive preferential treatment when applying for DNR permits and are assigned  “case worker” within the DNR as there primary contact to the department.

Wisconsin Department of Energy
The State Energy Office (SEO) is committed to supporting Wisconsin's goal of: generating electric power and transportation fuels from renewable resources; capturing more of the emerging bio-industry and renewable energy market; and leading the nation in groundbreaking research that will make clean energy more affordable and will create good paying Wisconsin jobs.  SEO services includes maintaining a library of Loans, Grants and Tax Incentives for the funding of green technologies.

Tax Incentives Assistance Project (TIAP)
The Tax Incentives Assistance Project (TIAP) is sponsored by a coalition of public interest nonprofit groups, government agencies, and other organizations in the energy efficiency field. It is designed to give consumers and businesses information they need to make use of the federal income tax incentives for energy efficient products and technologies passed by Congress as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and subsequently amended several times.
