Sheboygan County’s location has historically played an important role in shaping its population. The county, while itself a metropolitan statistical area, lies roughly equidistant between two larger metro areas — Green Bay and Milwaukee — and in close proximity to the greater Fox River valley. Union Representation
According to unionstats.com, 8.2% of the private workforce in the State of Wisconsin is represented by unions. Prominent companies in Sheboygan County with union representation include: Kohler Company, Nemak, Piggly Wiggly Supermarkets, and Bemis Manufacturing Company.  Bemis Manufacturing Company holds a distinction of not having a grievance in 25 years!!

Bay Area Workforce Development Board
Sheboygan County is a part of the Bay Area Workforce Development Board (BAWDB). The mission of the Bay Area Workforce Development Board is to develop a skilled workforce by strategically allocating and coordinating resources to address community needs. The BAWDB published the Workforce Investment Act’s local plan for its region.
