Sheboygan County consistently ranks towards the top of many Wisconsin SBDC metrics. Over the past six years, from January 2015 through December 2020, Sheboygan County ranked as number one in Wisconsin with more than $56 million in capital formation.”

While Sheboygan County has seen challenges throughout 2020, and into 2021, the SCEDC, in collaboration with the SBDC at UW-Green Bay, has been dedicated to helping small businesses find the support they need, while also maintaining its business start-up, expansion, and transition programs. The continued success in these technical assistance programs remains strong based on year-to-date Wisconsin SBDC metrics from 2021. Sheboygan County ranks second overall with $10.81 million in capital formation, third in business starts, and third in clients served.

SCEDC Chairman Don Hammond said, “The SCEDC is a supportive and helpful resource for businesses seeking free and confidential assistance, whether they are start-ups or already established. We truly appreciate the support and resources from our partners that push Sheboygan County forward.”

The SCEDC will continue to partner with service providers that focus on growing and supporting entrepreneurship in the county. Our small businesses contribute to Sheboygan County's economic stability by providing valuable goods and services, growth opportunities, and jobs to the community. Opportunity is a landmark of economic success and when Sheboygan County works together, it drives more success in its communities.
