Nemschoff growing in Sheboygan: planning direct-hire event at Riverfront facility
Initiating plan to expand team-oriented culture
Sheboygan, WI – May 10, 2018 – Nemschoff, manufacturer of high-quality furniture since 1950, is adding another 18 members to their staff and also implementing a plan to bring management, sales and marketing into a more collaborative working environment.
To help break past web-based hiring systems, Nemschoff will be holding a direct-hire event for new team members at their Riverside facility, located at 2218 Julson Court, on the picturesque Sheboygan River. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 16 from 10AM-2PM. All new positions are first-shift. Assemblers start at $13.90; upholsterers start at $17.09. Each position receives a benefits package, as well as a pay increase after 90 days.
People interested in a career in upholstery or light assembly will be welcome to bring a resume, complete and application on site, and also be provided with a tour of the operation. Furniture manufacturing experience is not required; Nemschoff will train individuals that are passionate about joining a team focused on quality.
“I’m excited that we are bringing the team under one roof,” stated Tim Shields, Nemschoff’s Director of Customer Care and Sales Excellence. “I’m excited about extending a collaborative environment alongside the rest of the Nemschoff team.”
Since joining the Sheboygan team a year ago, Shields and the rest of the leadership team have worked with Nemschoff team members to both grow and strengthen community involvement.
For ten years, team members at Nemschoff have participated in the ACS walk/run at Road America; the company has served as a sponsor for the past five. Most recently, the company donated furniture for the new Samaritan’s Hand facility. Additionally, using Nemschoff’s innovative approach to healthcare design, the company also developed a GSA contract to address the needs of the local VA medical facilities.
Chuck Noll, who serves as HR Director for the company added “we are nearing 70 years in Sheboygan, and we are looking forward to welcoming the added workforce that will help us advance for many more to come.”
