New Accelerate Sheboygan County Programming Receives $15,000 Grant from Wells Fargo Foundation
SHEBOYGAN, WI- Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation Foundation (DBA Accelerate Sheboygan County) today announced it has received a $15,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation.
“Accelerate Sheboygan County and the Wells Fargo Foundation share a common goal of promoting small business growth and business start-ups in ourcommunity,” said Brian Doudna, executive director of the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation Foundation, which administers Accelerate Sheboygan County. “We would like to thank Wells Fargo for its support of entrepreneurship in Sheboygan County.”
Accelerate Sheboygan County - Product Challenge is a program that supports entrepreneurs and innovators in developing their product and business ideas. Up to five ideas will be awarded a $1,000 technical assistance grant for business services throughout the year. Local Professionals review each submission and provide guidance from the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation, Innovation Council or the Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay.
“Small businesses provide jobs and vitality to Sheboygan, and I’m grateful that programming like Accelerate Sheboygan County is working to help encourage local small business growth and start-ups,” said Tina Brunmeier, district branch senior manager for Wells Fargo.
Registration for the 2024 pitch competition is still available at accelsc.com/pitch-competition. The competition will take place on Tuesday, November 12 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Jake’s, a Lakeland Community at 529 Ontario Avenue in Sheboygan, on the Lakeland University campus.
